These Greek skewers will appeal to both kids and adults, making meal time less of a drama for all.

850g beef rump steak, cut in 2.5cm pieces

1 x 30g pkt souvlaki seasoning mix

1 large red onion, halved, cut in 12 wedges

Olive oil spray

Lebanese bread, to serve

Lemon wedges, to serve

Greek Style Yoghurt, to serve
Capsicum salsa

1 green capsicum, deseeded, finely chopped

3 egg tomatoes, finely chopped

50g (1/4 cup) raisins, coarsely chopped

1/3 cup chopped fresh mint
Method

Step 1
Place the beef in a large bowl. Sprinkle over the souvlaki seasoning mix and toss to coat.

Thread half the beef among the skewers. Thread an onion wedge onto each skewer. Thread the remaining beef onto the skewers.

Heat a barbecue flat plate or frying pan over medium-high heat. Spray the beef skewers with olive oil spray. Cook for 2-3 minutes each side for medium or until cooked to your liking.

Meanwhile, to make the capsicum salsa, combine the capsicum, tomato, raisins and mint in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper.

Divide the skewers and salsa among serving plates. Serve with bread, lemon wedges and yoghurt.
