Puff pastry filled with beef, corn and peas makes for a hearty lunch or snack option.

  • 400g can beef stroganoff

  • 1 cup frozen corn & pea mix

  • 6 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

  • Tomato sauce, to serve

  • Classic salad (optional), to serve


  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 200C or 180C fan. Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper.

  • Step 2

    Place beef stroganoff in a bowl. Add corn and pea mix and mix well.

  • Step 3

    Cut a 16cm round from each sheet of pastry. Place 1/3 cup of stroganoff mixture in centre of each round. Fold pastry up over filling to form pasties, pinching edges together to enclose filling and seal edges. Brush lightly with egg. Chill pasties for 10 mins.

  • Step 4

    Bake pasties for 20 mins until puffed and golden. Serve with tomato sauce and salad leaves, if desired.
