2 bunches asparagus
40ml (2 tablespoons) olive oil
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
Trim the woody ends from the asparagus and carefully push the skewer into the root end of each spear.
Combine the oil and basil and brush all over the asparagus. Heat a chargrill pan to medium-high. Add asparagus and cook for 1-2 minutes each side until just cooked.
Serve with the spring chicken.
