  • 200g thickly sliced strawberries

  • 200g raspberries

  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • vanilla ice cream to serve


  • Step 1

    Place strawberries, raspberries and caster sugar in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.

  • Step 2

    Stir the mixture for 3-4 minutes until sugar has dissolved, berries have softened and sauce has thickened. Stir in lemon juice and remove from heat.

  • Step 3

    Using a fork or potato masher, crush the berries roughly. Allow to cool to room temperature. Divide crushed berries between serving glasses and serve with softened vanilla ice cream.
